Originally built in the early 1900s, this former grain silo has been thoughtfully and lovingly transformed into one of the most unique accommodation experiences in Kangaroo Valley.

Nestled down a quiet country lane, The Silo is just minutes from the charming village of Kangaroo Valley, where you’ll find boutique shops, cosy cafés, and a historic country pub.

Set on a working sheep farm and surrounded by rolling green pastures, The Silo offers uninterrupted views of the majestic surrounding mountains. It’s a peaceful retreat where rustic charm meets modern luxury.

Inside, guests are greeted by the raw, industrial beauty of the original silo structure—exposed concrete walls and soaring ceilings—seamlessly blended with high-end finishes and comforts. Every room captures the stunning landscape, making the scenery part of the experience.

The main living area downstairs features a slow-combustion fireplace, smart TV, plush lounge, and dining area that opens onto a private outdoor space with a gas BBQ, fire pit, and freestanding outdoor bath — perfect for stargazing.

The fully equipped kitchen is a cook’s delight, complete with a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. A convenient powder room with laundry facilities, including a washer and dryer, is also located on the lower level.

Ascend the striking staircase, following the curve of the silo’s concrete walls, to find a spectacular bathroom. A luxurious freestanding bath sits beside a large picture window, offering breathtaking views. The bathroom also features a double rain shower and separate toilet.

Continue up to the master bedroom, where a queen-size bed is positioned to take full advantage of panoramic 180-degree views—the kind that are truly some of the best in Kangaroo Valley.

Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a quiet escape, or a one-of-a-kind stay immersed in nature, The Silo offers an unforgettable experience in the heart of the valley.

There are two additional cottages on the property—The Dairy and The Cottage—both available for guest stays. Each cottage and its outdoor space are thoughtfully positioned and screened for complete privacy. For larger groups of up to 11 guests, all three cottages can be rented together for an exclusive stay.

HANDS DOWN the best stay I have ever had!

Sophia - 5th November 2025

I have stayed in many unique homes and this is HANDS DOWN the best stay I have ever had! The Silo was an incredible architectural novelty and even better in person than the photos show. The inside was modern, unique, and had so many special touches and amenities. We spent the majority of our time in the backyard between the firepit, outdoor BBQ, and outdoor bath, and the views were incredible. The bonus was a fully stocked kitchen and we were able to make all of our meals at the house (which was important because most shops in town were closed Monday-Wednesday!). If you're looking for a romantic, peaceful stay outside of the city, I highly recommend the Silo. We will be back for sure!!

The Spectacular Silo

Sean - 3rd November 2025

As regular KV weekenders and long-time fans of KV Getaways. We were thrilled to see The Silo join the lineup. Halloween 2025 marked its very first weekend, and not to brag — but we were lucky enough to break it in and it didn’t disappoint. Our highlight? The outdoor bath late Saturday night. The scene felt straight out of a movie — eerie clouds rolling in, then parting to reveal a glowing moon that lit up the entire valley. It was pure magic.
