Rainforest River Retreat is surrounded by pristine rainforest and located overlooking the spectacular Kangaroo River.
This brand new four bedroom is in the highly sought after Upper Kangaroo River area about 15 minutes drive from Kangaroo Valley village.
The home is split over two sections. The main part of the house has three bedrooms - beds all fitted with electric blankets - including the master bedroom and ensuite and a separate main bathroom with free standing bath.
The cathedral ceiling in the large open plan living area gives a great sense of light and space and has large sliding doors opening onto the deck. Guests can sit back and relax on the comfy lounge in front of the wood fire or watch TV which comes complete with Foxtel.
The kitchen is fully equipped including dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine (BYO Pods) and full cooking facilities.
The large deck is and outdoor entertainment area is a great place to cook up a meal on the gas barbeque or just sit back and relax while looking down at the pristine Kangaroo River just meters below.
There is also a separate studio which is accessed via the carport. The studio is open plan with a queen bed, lounge area with TV - Foxtel provided - kitchenette and a separate bathroom.
From the house it is just a short walk down to the river which is a great place to explore or cool off on a hot summers day; please ensure that children are supervised at all times. The property has over 1km of river frontage and there is a great swimming hole just below the house. It is also just a couple of minutes drive further along Upper River Road to one of the best swimming holes in the area - Flat Rock.
There is also a fantastic custom built fire pit for guests to enjoy. While firewood is supplied for the inside fireplace during the cooler months - May to September - we do ask that you bring your own for the firepit or collect fallen timber from around the property. It is also extremely important that guests check local fire restrictions before lighting any fires.
Please note when accessing this property that the last 2km is via a gravel road. The road is maintained by council and can be accessed via a normal 2WD vehicle but we do not suggest lowered vehicles.
